The first Milk-Bone® dog biscuits are made in New York City by F.H. Bennett Biscuit Company in a small bakery on the Lower East Side.
1940: Baking biscuits big and small
Milk-Bone® begins to cater to dogs of all shapes and sizes by offering three size varieties — small, medium and large.
1950: Milk-Bone® meets Rin Tin Tin
Rin Tin Tin and his best friend Rusty promote the three Milk-Bone® sizes: Small, Medium, and Large.
1957: Milk-Bone® makes a move
We outgrow NYC plant and move location to Buffalo, NY where Milk-Bone® treats are still produced today.
1963: A new way to give
Milk-Bone® Flavour Snacks®, our first new treats, are introduced to the world.
1977: Milk-Bone® gives more
Milk-Bone® dog biscuits are fortified with added minerals and vitamins, making them 100% nutritionally complete.
2008: Celebrating a centenary
This is the year Milk-Bone® celebrates a milestone — 100 years and counting.
