Submission Rules

This promotion is sponsored by Milk Bone brand dog snacks, which together with DLM Foods Canada Corp. and its affiliates shall be referred to herein as “Sponsor.”

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBMITTED STORIES:

1. Each Submitter must be over the age of 18 years and a legal resident of Canada. Submitted stories must be about the Submitter’s own dog. Submissions must be submitted in the English (French) language. Stories must not exceed 500 words in length. Please spell-check your entry before submitting!
2. Each Submitter warrants and represents that his/her entry is his/her original work of authorship and that Sponsor’s use of the story will not violate the rights of any third parties. Entry must not have been previously submitted, distributed or published in whole or in part, or have won any award in a competition, and must be the original work of only the Submitter.
3. Entry must be in keeping with Milk Bone’s positive image. Submitter shall not use any profane or vulgar language and shall not criticize any person, product or company. Sponsor reserves the right to not post or to delete any entry at any time for any reason.
4. Except to the extent prohibited by Canadian law, by submitting a story Submitter agrees that i) Sponsor shall own the story submitted by the Submitter (including all rights embodied therein), ii) Submitter shall have no right to review or approve edits, alterations or modifications, and the Submitter waives the benefit of any provision of law known as “word rights”, and that iii) Sponsor and its respective designees may use, copy, publish, and publicly display all elements of such submitted story (including but not limited to the Submitter’s name and address (city and state), in any and all media either now known or not currently known, in perpetuity throughout the universe for all purposes (including but not limited to promotional and marketing purposes, and for advertising, publicizing and promoting the Sponsor’s products, and for use in connection with displays of quotes from the Submitter), without notification and without compensation of any kind to Submitter or any third party. The Sponsor reserves all rights, including without limitation, the right to reproduce, alter, amend, edit, publish, modify, crop and use each submitted story in connection with commercials, advertisements and promotions related to the Sponsor, the sales of Sponsor’s products, this promotion and any other promotion sponsored by Sponsor, in any and all media, now or hereafter known, including but not limited to, all forms of television distribution, theatrical advertisements, radio, the Internet, newspapers, magazines and billboards.
